In order to fully embrace the college experience, understanding elements of the school and what it may have to offer is important. Specifically what is the cost, the dorms and facilities, the sports the school engage in and ultimately for many students what is the social scene of the school?

Academics

Before any school can be considered, a prospective student needs to consider what skills they want to acquire through the experience. Specifically what is the desired course of study, degree level desired, learning resources available, school size, student/teacher ratio, rankings and post study opportunities.

Community life

Considering school not only as an investment but as a future shaping decision, examining the community and its resources is vital. Off campus life provides insights into the cultural and social opportunities as well as desirabilty and crime statistics that each schools community provides.
